I live in France. The truth is that i have known about BABYMETAL before the hype, before they became a world trend with “Gimme Choko”. But at the time “Uki Uki midnight” or “Headbanger” was released,
i thought it was again those wacky joke Japan entertainment does, always trying to create something unusual and new. At that time, i thought Babymetal was funny but i didn’t took the group seriously.
Something changed short after the release of “Megitsune”, 1 year and a half later. And before knowing it, the song already topped my playlist. The rythm was catchy, the beat addictive and the melody a genius mix
of Oriental tune and Metal pattern. While music wise it made me completely rediscover the group, the esthetic of the MV, the choregraphy, the choice of the colors and costume was also a strong point they earned.
The more i was getting into BABYMETAL, the more i was hooked. I realized that their recently released Album had a lot of good songs and i couldn’t stop listening, amazed by the quality of the musical arrangement.
But what really made me a fan was the concerts. It’s been a while since i saw a crowd so filled with energy. The mood was always at climax, and the girls and the fans were really having fun. It made me really envious of going
to their concert to listen to all my favourite tunes live!
People debate if BABYMETAL is Metal or not. People look down on BABYMETAL because it’s looks like a formatted product. But the truth is that all of that doesn’t matter. The crowd loved the performance, the music is good,
so why complain? Let’s just have fun! And the level of performance that bring those girls shouldn’t be taken lightly. Those girls are pro and always give their all.
I’m more than excited to see them for their concert in France, and i strongly recommend everyone to give it a try! BABYMETAL IS AWESOME!
